Variables in Education
Growth Mindset:
- For the past three years I have had all of my students survey themselves, and do activities related to their preferred learning styles. - Students then create an index card with their name, learning styles and images related to their styles decorating it. I use these throughout the year for flexible grouping, reminders about growth mindset, etc. Audioboo: student describes what they learned from the growth mindset activity

Google Form surveysBeing a new teacher to the outdoor ed. class at St. Mary's, I wanted to know WHY the students took the class, what they loved about the outdoors, and what they wanted to learn from the class. I used this survey to tailor my long range plans and to ensure that the topics covered reflected what students were interested in and what skills they wanted to gain from my class

I use remind.com and it is a lifesaver! I have parents and students sign up for simple reminder text messages on their devices. I LOVE this service as it's secure, free and you can set reminders to happen in advance!
